Nature of My Job:
Engage in testing & calibrates measuring instruments for heat, electronics, sound level. Establish & maintain national standards of measurements for temperature, electric circuit & those instruments & equipment derived from them. Develop test methods, materials, instruments, & equipment needed for the purpose in the field of electronics & acoustics. Conduct R&D. Evaluation of technical data. Preparation of reports/manuscript for publication. Lastly, conduct test and analysis work.
Trainings (Local/Abroad):
Industrial Instrumentation - Basic Programmable Logic Control (PLC), Meralco Foundation, Inc.. The training areas are concern on the automation of industrial processes either by motion control or process control. The topic areas are PLC programming, basic pneumatics, electro pneumatics, robotics, and design application on PLC.
Web Page Design and Database Design & Development, APEC-VC Supporting Committee of Japan. The training was conducted in two (2) areas: firstly, the basic & intermediate design of a web page using HTML programming for the APEC - Virtual Center for Environmental Technology Exchange, The Philippine Node. Secondly, the design & development of a database for the APEC-VC Philippines using FileMaker Pro v4.1 as the database software.
Electronic Systems and Maintenance Technology. The training was conducted in Precision Instrument Development Center - International Scientific Instrument Technology Workshop, Hsinchu Science-Based Industrial Park, Taiwan, Republic of China. The training areas consist of the following: ADC and DAC circuit, microprocessor/microcomputer system, CAD system for electronics and communication, assembly and forth language programming, maintenance and troubleshooting techniques, computer interfacing using RS-232 and extended ISA bus, CNC machine system, electronic system design, microprocessor/microcomputer application design, and high vacuum system for semiconductor processes.

Development of Gemstone Faceting Equipment. The project aims to develop a computerized and fully automatic gemstone faceting. Development of Pili-Nut Deshelling Machine. The project aims to develop a electro-mechanical deshelling machine for the Pili-Nut industry. |

IT Involvement:
Implementation of the Fiber-Optic Backbone for the Industrial Technology Development Institute intranetworking and internetworking Program. The project involves in the determination of networking equipments (e.g. Hub, Bridge, network switch), networking topology (e.g. FDDI, ATM), network operating systems (e.g. Novell, Windows NT, LANtastic), outside plant networking (e.g. cabling and layouting), software for intranetworking and internetworking, and networking management.
Implementation, design and development of the Institute Internet Home Page or ITDI Website (w/c includes web page design using Java, cgi, scripts, and other utilities in creating an internet site).
